Description
CDIC’s Cyber Intelligence Analyst Internship is a 16 week unpaid and remote program designed to immerse students in the fields of cyber intelligence, open-source intelligence collection & analysis, and high-technology computer forensics. Students will have the opportunity to assist CDIC’s cyber analysts in these joint-agency operations and has the chance to earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded a certificate of completion and are offered a volunteer membership with CDIC as a Cyber Intelligence Analyst. NON-PAID VOLUNTEER REMOTE ROLE.
Requirements
Research Skills: Proficiency in conducting open-source intelligence (OSINT) research using online tools, databases, and platforms to gather data on cyber activities and terrorism. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of cyber systems, internet protocols, and digital forensics to identify and track criminal behavior facilitated by computer devices or networks. Data Collection: Ability to collect, organize, and verify data related to individuals involved in severe criminal activities, including physical and cyber terrorism. Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills to ensure accuracy and relevance of gathered information while maintaining ethical and legal standards. Cybersecurity Awareness: Familiarity with cybersecurity threats, tactics, and techniques used by cybercriminals to navigate and extract relevant insights. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENT AND IN A TEAM.
